Demo Scenes
Tidal ships with multiple demo scenes designed to showcase different use cases, performance configurations, and feature sets. These scenes are the fastest way to explore Tidal’s capabilities.
Tip: All demo scenes are safe to modify. Duplicate them
if you want to experiment.
Island Demo
Large-scale open ocean with shoreline foam, buoyant boats, and player
controls. Press G to toggle boat control and explore
buoyancy behavior.
Tsunami Demo
Extreme wave conditions with massive swells and two boats.
Press G to control one of the boats and experience
high-energy wave interaction.
Backrooms Demo
A confined indoor body of water inside a liminal space, showcasing
how Tidal behaves in enclosed environments.
Night Park Demo
A nighttime scene highlighting emissive lighting and planar reflections
for dramatic, high-contrast visuals.
Indoor Pool Demo
Four small pool surfaces sharing a single
TidalCompute,
demonstrating efficient multi-body setups with minimal overhead.
Mainland Demo
A large mainland surrounded by ocean, featuring a central lake.
Demonstrates multiple water bodies sharing the same simulation.
Many Bodies Demo
Three adjacent Tidal bodies sharing a single
TidalCompute,
showing transitions between different surface materials.
Orthographic Demo
Demonstrates support for orthographic cameras using a top-down,
isometric-style boat scene.
Performance Demo
A large-scale ocean configured for maximum performance, using reduced
FFT resolution and disabled planar reflections.
